The Bahraini newspaper “The Daily Tribune - News of Bahrain" has published an article by Azerbaijani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shahin Abdullayev dedicated to National Leader of the Azerbaijani People Heydar Aliyev.

The article mentioned that the Azerbaijani people commemorate the dear memory of their National Leader with great respect, noting that events to commemorate the anniversary of the death of the great politician is also celebrated in different countries of the world.

Ambassador Shahin Abdullayev informed the Bahraini readers about the meaningful life and rich state activities of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. The diplomat noted that after returning to power at the insistent call of the people in 1993, the National Leader paid special attention to the issue of ensuring religious freedoms and the peaceful and prosperous life of the people in the country.

Drawing attention to the fact that 2023 was declared a "Year of Heydar Aliyev" by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev, and a series of events were held in Azerbaijan and abroad, the ambassador stressed that world Azerbaijanis promote the rich political legacy of the Great Leader, expressing deep love and respect for him.

“President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev fulfilled Great Leader Heydar Aliyev’s biggest dream and the heroic Army under the leadership the Commander-in-Chief liberated the Azerbaijani territories occupied by the enemy for more than 30 years. Today, the Azerbaijani flag is waving in our ancient cultural capital city of Shusha, as well as Khankendi, and the country fully restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty,” the diplomat emphasized.
